Flow Experience

Hello, I’m Joshua, a member of the Flow Custom Team. I started with the Foil Drive 1 in 2023 and quickly knew that I wanted to buy the Foil Drive 2. The assist literally blew my mind.

Last winter, when we started surfing bigger waves, I realized that I couldn’t go below an 800 cm² foil size, since the assist power was limiting me quite a lot.

During a test at the end of the season with the Flow Custom team, we saw that their systems had much more power, and Sergio was willing to develop a setup with great autonomy.

This October we were able to start testing them in Fuerteventura and we were amazed by their performance. In my case, I’ve been able to go from an 800 cm² foil down to 600 cm² and, as a result, the type of waves we can access now has increased exponentially. For me it has been a real “game changer,” both because of the size of waves we can surf now and the battery autonomy.

I weigh 85 kg and my favorite setup is:

•800 Wh Long Range battery with HP motor

•Gong Fluid H 600 cm² foil with 131 cm² stabilizer

•Hydro board 5’3” x 18.5” – 40 L

The conditions we usually have in Fuerteventura are waves between 1.5 m and 3 m, and there’s normally quite a distance to the peak, so having plenty of battery autonomy is essential.

Feedback after several sessions on the Magic Pod.

The Pod is pretty awesome. I was slightly sceptical the first few times but in hindsight it was super choppy and bad conditions. Been FD surfing the last 2 days and the biggest thing is when you are taxiing back to the line up and essentially efoiling  I barely touch the trigger. I have my prop 15cm FD+. Today I was feathering the throttle whereas before i need 60%. Its definitely worth it and takes offs seams easier – This is harder to gauge as im using a different board,

Great Invention

It was really good experience buy from Flow Custom, the technical support was just incredible after receive the products. Sergio is always available to solve you any issue or question about them gear,  they add also you to a whats app chat with more customers , so any question there are always plenty of people ready to help you, many thanks , keep it growing , really good upgrades !!!
